Hurt locker
So I watched this movie last night... Didn't really rate it! Nothing much goes on and it lacks story. It is like little snippits of scenes jumbled in 1 at a time.
Any die hard mw2 fans will love it tho cause there r many scenes that r similar to game play.
An1 else seen it yet? Comments....

Re: Hurt locker

On DVD already is it?

Re: Hurt locker
It only beat Avatar because it "Supported our Troops!"
American Patriotism at it's best, that said I'ms till glad Cameron didn't win his own award.

Re: Hurt locker
I thought it was alright. Not bad by any means, but there are definitely better films out there.
It does kick the shit out of Avatar though.

Re: Hurt locker
Its been out for almost a yr so there are good quality downloads out there.
Nah I didnt rate it that much. Thought the story got a bit flat at times and stupid. Really, as if 3 guys are gonna go off in the middle of the night (bomb disposal guys mind you) to hunt down the baddies. Just shit like that pissed me off.
Start was good though, Guy Pierce and Ralph Fiennes getting it were highlights.

Re: Hurt locker
Saw this a couple of years ago at my brothers place. He's got a theatre room in his house so i had a really enjoyable experience.
When we heard it got it nominated a few months ago we were so surprised because we had seen it so long ago.
I must say, though - there are a few too many hand-cam scenes with too much shaking. Good technique, but not necessary so often in any film.

Re: Hurt locker
No, my brother watched It in 2008. I think this film was re-released by the studio who produced it. That's why it was in recent film award events. Might look that up actually - just to be sure

Re: Hurt locker
This is what wiki says:
The Hurt Locker premiered at the Venice Film Festival in Italy during 2008. After being shown at the Toronto International Film Festival, it was picked up for distribution in the United States by Summit Entertainment. The film was released in the United States on June 26, 2009 but received a more widespread theatrical release on July 24, 2009. Because the 2008 film was not originally released in the U.S. (at least in an Oscar-qualifying run in Los Angeles) until 2009, it was eligible to be judged in the 82nd Academy Awards held in 2010.
