Astronomy

Post  fuchswagen on Wed Sep 01, 2010 1:44 pm

Anyone into astronomy. I want to start this as a new hobby and get a telescope that you would be able to see clear picture of our solar systems planets. There is a vast array of scopes and starts to get confusing when trying to pick 1. I only get 1 try cause these things are damn expensive.

I've only looked through a telescope once (can't remember where) but it was amazing. The detail that you get from looking through it is intense. You can see the moon as a 3D image with it's craters fully visible.

I hear it is very expensive though.

I got one when I was much younger and havent got it out for ages. I dont know much about them, but yes you can see the moon really well and more mag. images of the planets. Stars look the same though. They work the best out in the country though, away from city lights.

Its only a matter of time before they find a planet with life on it. Seriously, in a universe so big, there has to be at least one planet with life, hopefully intelligent life.
