Re: Forum applications
Yeh I use safari now. My understanding is that these apps translate the forum into a user friendly format for the phone - like how the Facebook app does.
This is some info:
I thought it might be easier to use than trying to navigate a website on the phone.
This is some info:
Tapatalk is a forum app on the iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, and Nokia. Our app provides you super fast forum access to any vBulletin, IPBoard, phpBB or SMF forum that has activated our Tapatalk plugin.
Tapatalk for iPhone
Tapatalk for iPhone provides full forum access on iPhone including ability to check private messages, upload photos from your camera and ability to search forum, etc. All with super-fast direct forum access at only $2.99.

Re: Forum applications
Bec (and Tom),
I've checked out the tapatalk module needed to make the app work. It's straightforward, but forumotion don't allow you that sort of access to your site - it's all tightly controlled within their limits (unfortunately).
If tag was hosted on a site that allowed you access to the source files etc of your site, then no problems...
I've checked this out on both the tapatalk and forumotion support pages and it's a total no go here unfortunately.
Some 1337 H4X0R could prolly figure out how to do it (maybe) but I'm not gonna break cap's forum over this.

Re: Forum applications
That ^^^^ was another quality post Toprharley!!!
Thankyou so much for researching that. I didn't actually realise it would be an issue for the forum. I just saw that it supported phpBB and figured that since I'd seen those letters on the bottom of the forum it would be cool.

Re: Forum applications
maybe Tom could message the forum managers and see if it (tapatalk capability) is something "they" can add as a special request...?
