Alrighty. So i've been looking at the line up of games for the rest of the year and there are some biggies coming out. Im going to be picking up Resistance 3 and battlefield 3 and that'll probably be it for me (damn money!) but there are some other nice looking titles out there like Batman:AC, MW3, Rage, Uncharted 3 etc etc.. so what's going to be everyones pick?

Dark Souls I can get a fair bit post release. Like I did Demons Souls.

so i reckon i'll get onto it. Im pretty annoyed though. 2012 is looking to be a fantastic year for games and im going to be in yr 12 Sad

I just went and preordered 8 games. Didn't get any big, over the top shit editions though (like Resistance 3 Survivors Edition).

I have 3 games pre ordered so far.
I just got the Skyrim normal edition cos I didnt want the massive statue that comes with it. lol

Tell me about it! how crap are these "special" editions! I don't care for any statues or figurines. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying full price for something decent, but this isn't quality. I want a booklet full of art or writing about the game. GAME MANUALS THESE DAYS ARE CRAP! I remember (and still have) Zelda: A link to the Past on the SNES and its manual is great, full of lore and information and a giant fuck-off map of the world. These days you can't get jack in a manual. In fact, when I got Mass Effect 2 I was expecting a huge manual considering its a big RPG and what do they give us? A link to a website that has the info! Let down!

I don't mind paying extra for a special edition, but the ones these days are fucking terrible. A little plastic figurine or a calender or some shit, for like $200. Like you said, art or developer notes would be great. I remember God of War 1 & 2 came with hour long 'making of' videos and stuff like that.
It's pathetic these days.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron has been announced for release 2012.

Not to be confused with the shit movie tie-in games, this a sequel to War for Cybertron, which wasn't the best game of 2010, but was a good entry in the transformers universe. The best part of War for Cybertron was the storyline so hopefully they continue that. Looks like Grimlock is in as well! Everyone loves the Dinobots!!!
