I saw that today. I dunno whether it will be released everywhere, probably just cities initially.

They claim 80mb download wirelessy, which is impressive.

NBN would be better for me as we don't usually get good phone reception.

According to wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4G) the maximum stationary speed is 1gbit/sec, which is amazing. Obviously that would be fairly reduced due to environmental factors etc

3g speeds are meant to b a max of 28mbit/s and the fastest i have ever recorded is around 3.8mbit/s.

I am not sure if this is a positive thing or a negative. I wonder if other phone carriers will also upgrade to 4g? If not expect ridiculous prices from Telstra untill the rest of the venders catch up.

At least the NBN you would expect to be cheapish???
