Post  Gasman40 on Tue Mar 08, 2011 1:27 pm

Hey guys.
Was just wondering if those of you with PS+ could tell me what its like. I was having a look through what you can get and it looks pretty great but would be good to get some background info before purchasing.
Cheers

^^ Is that usually Demo's though? Or Full games?
I hear, if your purchase a game through plus, and then your subscription expires you cant play that game anymore?

Is that true?

I don't download demos. There's quite a good range of free full games and discounts.

I think that PS+ content is available forever, whether your still a member or not.

Alrighty will look into it. But i think that i've read that games you download as free games won't run after the subscription is out. I could be wrong though.

This is a good reason to have playstation plus

n Sony's upcoming v3.60 firmware update, which is set to go live tomorrow, PlayStation 3 gamers will finally be able to store their saved games on the "cloud" (Sony's online servers), Sony today announced. Unfortunately, there's a catch: at the present time, you have to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber to make use of this exciting new feature.

PS+ users will be allowed to store up to 150 MB of data — or 1,000 save game files on the cloud, whichever comes first — on the cloud. Gamers who store their data on the cloud can access it from any PS3 by using their unique PlayStation Network log-in, which means no more starting from scratch when you bring your games over to a friend's place.

Other "minor" features will be included in tomorrow's v3.60 firmware update, but they have not yet been detailed. Stay tuned for more information.

UPDATE: To clarify, this feature will allow users to back up “copy-prohibited save data" in addition to regular save data.

That is fantastic! They promised that at PS+ launch and people said it would never happen. Awesome.

This is wrong. When my subscription ended I lost one of the free games. It just said that it had expired.
