My naive gaming brain is amazed at how long the wait until release is still going to be because the game looked so 'ready'.

Okay, was just watching the video preview on IGN and they state that this isn't a sequel to warhawk. So i guess we can expect warhawk 2 at some point in time if they decide to make it. dunno if this has been said but just incase.

There will be no WH2 because warhawk had no story. Can't make a sequel without a story. Starhawk will be the closest thing.

I guess thats true. But they may make another game with the same kind of structure. Another online only game with hawks and ground vehicles with pick ups instead of loadouts.

Yeah he is really plugging this build n battle aspect of the game and the single player storyline atm. That is fine, I just really want to know more about (and see) the MP. I don't think there will be other planes, just these mech things. Pity as they do look average. I am cautiously optimistic about the RTS element, it could be what the shooter games need and it will help make starhawk different form the rest. We need more footage of the hawks and see what they can do.

The Mech Hawk thingys seem to fly like Pro with a spin feature in it...
The Maneuvering (Air and Ground) looks slow compared to Warhawk though...

or the guy in the video is just a slow player lol

Apparently the flight mechanics are currently an exact copy of Warhawk. Only difference is there is no hover mode.

I think it will be alot like warhawk. Looks awesome. They would be silly to go away from giving a product they know everyone expects. I think story mode is added to justify the $120 it will cost and maybe to lure some Halo and MW fans? It will be all about multiplayer though. Mad mad battles on small med and large maps. the campers are gonna love the build and battle. Can't fuckin wait......

I like the build idea in theory . But i can see markwjay rage over where people build things. great playing on a team with a stratergy but if everyone is playing diff stratergy = RAGE

If you can build shit at your base would that mean you could build heaps of anti air guns to minimize base rapes? That would be good.

Never thought of the build option like that capn... thats a good point. I think it will be interesting to use and to see how people utilize it.
