FPS Freek, Real Triggers, Silicon case - DS3 accessories

Post  capnwpac on Mon Aug 08, 2011 8:29 pm

I basically want to know if anyone has any/all of these, and what their opinions are of them.
I imagine that with all three, you could have a mighty comfy set up.

FPS Freek
Designed to make aiming easier at higher sensitivities on PS3 and (designed for) Xbox 360

Real Triggers
Designed to keep your fingers from slipping off L2 and R2 basically.

Silicon Case
Designed for sweaty palm players! Keep your hands on the controller.
I want to get this so that I don't have to be made so aware of how much grease my controller has endured, with the nice shiny gloss it now has (vs the matte like initial colour)

We've got these

I really like it and use all the pieces. Lancer just uses the main controller grip because he didn't like the feel of the L2/R2 and knocked the L3/R3 covers off a few times. I've not had that problem.

We found them at Big W for $10 - they were half price so I think they were clearance stock.

They do increase the weight and size a bit but I don't find that a negative. The main grip has a nice feel (much better than the plastic of the controller) and firmly attaches so it doesn't slip or slide at all. I find it difficult to precisely aim and I think the L3/R3 have helped me improve that. I could take or leave the L2/R2 covers because they require more of a press than a tap to activate the trigger...... It really comes down to personal preference. They are cheap so are probably worth a try.
