Try monitoring the internet network adapter with Wireshark. I'm guessing it is either a router/network compatibility issue or a network setting issue

any tutorials?

the thing is the net works fine on one pc with xp, my lappy with vista, gunns lappy with vista and my folks pc with vista

my new pc (much better than my folks and my others) wont load a damn 2 minute youtube video!

another question super, how do i turn off the page auto loader? i dont want every thread popping up when i get to the bottom of the page im currently on

Try to load up a Linux (Ubuntu maybe?) live CD if you have it. Will remove Windows 7 as a factor.....
Are you talking about an IE feature (page auto loader)? I never used IE.....

It's a firefox thing, should have specified

firefox 3.5 auto loads the next page in threads or on google, annoys me

i've never noticed the "auto-loader" thing you mention - sounds like something more to do with properties of the page/forum than a browser action.

for example, the au server has a refresh setting that will auto-refresh the page periodically (not sure if you can specify how often??) but this forum for instance, doesn't do anything auto for me???

Download the latest firefox

every site that has a "next page" auto
loads

it is starting to annoy me

and, me no see this...??

when does this occur - when you scroll to the bottom of the page, or does it just auto-load every next page in sequence until it runs out of next pages?

When you scroll to the bottom of the page

I will figure it out, it is a firefox thing coz ie doesn't do it

I wanna get the fucken met working properly so I can download chrome, safari or opera to see if they work better
