I dont think so mate, we still get to play online multiplayer games for free, but there are other premium stuff that you can pay to get. I think.

Highly doubt the network would become a paid service. They can't just change it without forwarning.
As in if it were to change I imagine there would be a mass message sent out to tell everyone.

I agree with ryno, it will be for premium services. Maybe even possible that upcomming mmorpgs will cost money to play, like DC Universe online.

i think it's just that - spam, although as cap says, individual games might use pay for play etc, i don't believe it for a second!!!

Think they might charge for movie downloads or vidzone - that sort of stuff.

reason I mentioned DC Universe is because it is getting released on PC and they will have to pay a premium to play the game. It comes out early next year so that MAY happen. Still I'm doubtful, like gunn said, why would Sony get rid of the main reason a lot of gamers prefer it over a 360?
