I've had it for a while and have never had any problems with it.

I've had mine for at least 3 years now and haven't had a single problem at all. I also had the 60GB model but it was an NTSC version (to be exact: Hong Kong). It shouldn't make a difference though to your current issues.

PlayTV was not released three years ago. Nowhere in your post do you mention PlayTV. You had a 60gb model? You're talking about the ps3.

Funkshen, have you tried eliminating the obvious? Plug it in and install the software on another PS3 - a mates, whatever - and see if it causes the same problem with that PS3. If it does then points to a bad Play TV unit. If not, are you in a position to backup your PS3 to external drive and reformat it? Then reinstall the Play TV and check for probs. If none occur, restore your games data etc.

Sorry bout that then. I was talking about my ps3 and PlayTV. And yes PlayTV was released 3 years ago...in the UK! I bought it off Ebay for $100 AUS which is a fairly decent price

No it wasn't. April 2008 it was released. Definitely not three years ago. Don't lie.
