Skiing in new Zealand
So I randomely bought a ticket to new Zealand to go skiing in august tonight. There was a sale on and got return airfare including taxes for 390 dollars flyin airNZ.
Any advice on where to go or stay etc? Flying into Christchurch

I don't actually know all that much about skiing around here. There are a handful of mountains (Mt Hutt, Porters Pass, Mt Cheeseman, Craigieburn and more) that you can ski on daytrips from Christchurch, but from what I understand the best ones are down near Queenstown and Wanaka (Cardrona, Remarkables, Coronet Peak and more). I'd go that way anyway, it's really nice down there. Can be quite an expensive place to visit though, it's quite touristy and the prices of accomodation, food etc. reflect that.
