Photoshop advice

Whats going on guys/gals. I'm looking at buying Photoshop but I've noticed that there is two types. Ones just called photoshop and the other is photoshop elements 8. I'm presuming that elements 8 has more stuff in it. What i was wondering is if anyone uses photoshop at all, knows what the difference is and whether it's worth paying the extra? I'm not looking to do huge design things so I'll probably just buy el'cheapo but just wanted to do some research before hand.

grab a torrent, use it, then say to yourself "why the fuck am I doing this", then never use the program again.

Elements is the basic version.
$100 for a program that in reality is as limited as MSPaint.


What do you want to do with such a program?

Screw buying it if you are not really into it.

If you like it and want to use it for commercial purposes...
