Install other OS

To those who have installed another OS on their PS3 read this:

Basically, if you want to sign into the PSN then you will have to get rid of it.

Alot, and I mean ALOT, of people are arguing over this just because of the principle. Countless people arguing wouldn't even know what Linux is.

Not that I endorse anything this, absolutely appalling, company does. Sony used to be good, what happened? We need the BAU team to profile them, lol.

It's good and it's shit.... I can see why though hakers no doubt.... but on the other hand what about those people that do behave and do know what Linux is Neutral

I have a feeling I'm the only one who doesn't know what all this is about. What exactly did this feature enable you to do? could you put another operating system like Windows XP or something on the ps3? Question (i really didn't pay any attention to all the other specifics about the ps3. I just bought it to play games and movies.)

Yeah pretty much, thats what Linux is, another operating system, although it shouldn't be compared with Windows in any shape or form, lol.

It is not worth it. An update was recently released that takes away this possibility. If you ever want to get your ps3 online, the official Sony PS3 OS must be used.

It's already been proved how easily you can bypass the "Official Sony" PS3 check.
