Modnation Racers

I've been looking at a few more videos for this game and it's looking pretty cool. The amount of customisation and the ability to create you own level seems pretty sweet.
What are your thoughts?

Just had a look at a trailer, looks pretty good. If you dont have mario kart on the wii than this would be an interesting prospect. Will keep an eye on it and see if its worth getting.

To those who do have mario kart, do u think u would get this?

This is being called the mario kart of ps3.
I think it just looks like a good bit of fun. Its not hardcore, you don't need to play it for 800 hours just to get something, you just play it for the enjoyment of playing a video game.
will be a nice break from the usual.

It looks good. It seems akin to the old good kart games on the PS1.
A definite buy for me.

A few QD guys played the beta of this. The general consensus was that the load times were crippling. The game has potential, but you have to patient. Something like a 2 minute load for a 3 or 4 minute race.

They may have improved it a bit for the release version, but it does get a mention in IGN's review.

That's a bit of a downer but it's not going to stop me from getting it

Wow, this game is really cool. The track, kart and Mod editors are just insane. The track editor works so fucking well. You literally drive a route out, and then you can auto-populate the course. The amount of options are incredible.
People really need to check it out.
