A breakthrough in ps3 technology

Post  tombomb2540 on Wed Apr 21, 2010 11:53 pm

Did any1 know that 40gb ps3s were the only ones that couldn't play ps1 and ps2 games. I only just worked this out and after being super siked I was super annoyed it tooke this long to work out, so I thought I'd let other people know if they wanted to bring back memerios of some sick ps2 games haha... lol,u didnt know that?

The original 60GB version is the ONLY PS3 that can play PS2 games. Hence why some ppl think its the superior version.

They should put some PS2 games on the PS Store. I have an original 60GB, but putting in PS2 discs is a pain when I know that they could just be downloaded.

And even that isn't fully correct, as the only systems that have truly 'decent' PS2 compatibility were the American 60GB PS3's

The Australian PS3's only used software to emulate which resulted in a specific compatibility list being published specifying which PS2 games were runnable and which were not.
Hardly true backwards compatibility.

You need download specials driver - there are ones by MotioninJoy

Also you will need ControlMK to map the buttons to the keyboard and mouse.

You can connect by usb cord or if you have a bluetooth dongle you can set it up by that.

Google MotioninJoy to find more information.

or visit their website here: http://www.motioninjoy.com/
