There's your answer mate...
They were the 1st ps3's to hit the market, they also had SD memory card slots etc and 4 usb ports (Well mine did LOL)...
Then they came out with 40/80GB which would be the one you have but took out the ps2 compatible and also the extra slots and took away 2 usb ports lol...
and then they upgraded the firmware lately and took out the other os...
and then.. and then.. lol

Sounds like my work, everytime they upgrade something, something else goes wrong or downgrades tongue
