While playing tonight my PS3 turned off and the red led remained flashing.
The system will no longer boot up for more than 30 odd seconds before the same thing happens.

Any Ideas?

I'm yet to get a yellow led and my disc wasn't stuck inside.

You don't get a solid yellow light. The led flashes yellow for less than a second when you turn it on and then continually flashes red.

I'm sorry mate, it is never good to hear this has happened to someone.

Did you get to back up your ps3?
