This worth getting gunn or anyone else who has played them on the PS2?

Comes out Q1 2011.

Definitely worth it. You're looking at two of the best games on PS2, with SotC probably being the best game on ps2. An absolute must buy for everyone with a ps3.

I missed the boat with Ico but I reckon that SotC is one of the best games ever made on any platform. I cant play it no more cause my fat ps3 broke. So a definate day 1 buy for me. Sony really should update there best games to HD, cause its a pity if those games gets lost over time.

Damn you got to be a hardcore fan to buy it just for HD...

I say Do what G.O.W did, make a new 1 and bring out a bundle pack....
Then again they probly do that anyways... But after releasing the HD version...

Team ICO are currently making TLG

so they are doing exactly what gow did

The only common factor between ICO, SotC ang TLG is the developer.

TLG = The Last Guardian

I was out of gaming for a period after I sold my PS2 and only played PC games. The first time I saw Shadow of the Colossus was in the move "Reign over me" , I thought it was fake, but did some research and it was real.

I have never played it, but I am keen.

Man this sucks

SCEA tonight confirmed it has delayed the release of The Last Guardian and Ico & Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection for PlayStation 3. Both titles were originally scheduled for release this year -- Spring 2011 for the Collection and Holiday 2011 for The Last Guardian.

New release dates have not been announced; though it seems unlikely both titles will hit this year. Game designer Fumito Ueda issued this statement on the PlayStation Blog:

I announced at last year's Tokyo Game Show that the release timing of The Last Guardian which is currently being developed would be holiday 2011.

However, to provide more challenging and better quality of content to users and to fulfill First Party Studio's obligations, I decided to postpone its release timing.

All the members of my production team are working together at a fast pace to develop and release the game in First Party Studio quality.

I sincerely apologize to all the customers who have been waiting for "The Last Guardian" for so long, but I beg for your patience. I will also announce the new release timing at a later time.

Comes out Sept. 22 in Japan so hopefully wont be far behind in western counties.

Following the recent delay of the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus remakes, Sony Computer Entertainment has now provided a new release window for the PS3 games in Japan: September 22. In that region, each game is sold separately for ¥3,980 ($50). Sony is also offering a single box with both games in it for ¥6,980 ($87), which adds a 100-page booklet and dynamic PS3 themes.

Along with the announcement, new Japanese sites have opened for both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus And if you listen closely, you can hear Ico calling you past the break of this post, beckoning you toward the new trailer. Can you hear it? Buhhhhhhhhhhh!
